BR-262: Com efetivo reduzido da PRF e rodovia sobrecarregada, senador Nelsinho Trad cobra reforço no policiamento e melhorias urgentes

Parlamentar articula audiência no Ministério da Justiça e alerta sobre risco crescente de acidentes na rodovia que cruza o Pantanal

A BR-262, um dos principais eixos logísticos de Mato Grosso do Sul, enfrenta um cenário de alto risco. A seca severa do Rio Paraguai dobrou o fluxo de caminhões na rodovia, que já sofre com a precariedade da infraestrutura e um efetivo policial insuficiente. Atendendo a um pleito do vereador de Corumbá Chicão Viana (PSD-MS) e da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o senador Nelsinho Trad (PSD-MS) cobra reforço imediato para a fiscalização e segurança no trecho.

Ele solicitou uma audiência com o Ministério da Justiça para tratar da situação e pedir a ampliação do efetivo da PRF em Corumbá.

A data ainda não foi informada pelo ministério. 

“Em um ano, 2,3 mil animais silvestres foram atropelados na BR-262, entre Campo Grande e a ponte do Rio Paraguai, próximo a Corumbá.

Os dados fazem parte do monitoramento realizado pelo Instituto de Conservação de Animais Silvestres (ICAS).

São cerca de 200 animais do nosso Pantanal mortos todos os meses na rodovia”, denuncia o parlamentar.

Ainda de acordo com a voz do Pantanal no Congresso, senador Nelsinho Trad, a BR-262 está sobrecarregada, os policiais rodoviários federais relatam que o trânsito de caminhões aumentou em 100% por conta da seca do Rio Paraguai.

“O escoamento de cargas fica restrito à rodovia. E em contrapartida, só há seis policiais fixos em Corumbá para cuidar dessa situação, tem lógica?”, alertou o parlamentar.

O problema da BR-262 se conecta diretamente ao debate sobre a hidrovia do Rio Paraguai, tema de uma audiência pública da Agência Nacional de Transportes Aquaviários (ANTAQ) nesta quinta-feira (6).

“Precisamos de um olhar integrado para resolver essa crise”, explicou o senador Nelsinho Trad.

Baixo efetivo da PRF e sobrecarga na rodovia

O inspetor da PRF, Francenildo Fernandes de Araújo relatou à equipe do senador Nelsinho Trad as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos agentes no trecho.

Segundo ele, o efetivo de Corumbá é insuficiente para cobrir toda a extensão da BR-262.  

“Nós temos a Delegacia de Corumbá, tem três postos, três unidades operacionais. O ideal pra trabalhar numa unidade operacional são três, são quatro policiais. E a gente trabalha com dois por dia. Às vezes, acontece o dia que não tem nem esses dois pra trabalhar,” afirmou o inspetor.

A escassez de agentes impacta diretamente a segurança viária e no combate ao tráfico de drogas também.

“Aqui é a principal rota de entrada em cocaína do Brasil. As quadrilhas sabem da dificuldade da PRF em fiscalizar pelo baixo efetivo e acabam aliciando esses motoristas para fazer transporte de droga nesses caminhões. E a gente já fez a apreensão, inclusive, nesse sentido”, alertou de Araújo.

O vereador Chicão Viana destacou a importância do olhar atento de Nelsinho Trad pela região.

“Acredito que o senador Nelsinho deva nos auxiliar muito, sendo o nosso interlocutor com o Ministério da Justiça, chamando atenção a nível nacional e lutando por essa realização que nós precisamos muito”.

BR-163: Tragédias diárias e promessas não cumpridas

Enquanto a duplicação da BR-163 segue travada, a estrada continua tirando vidas.

O senador Nelsinho Trad aguarda a instalação da Comissão de Infraestrutura para que seu requerimento de criação da Comissão Temporária Externa e o pedido de audiência pública avancem no Congresso.

“O povo paga pedágio, mas o risco de morte continua. Não dá mais para aceitar essa demora enquanto famílias choram por seus entes queridos”, afirmou.
