O parlamentar destinou R$ 6,3 milhões para a modernização do hospital, garantindo mais estrutura para o atendimento neonatal e cirúrgico.
“Saúde é prioridade, e esse investimento significa mais qualidade no atendimento, mais vidas salvas e mais esperança para as famílias de Três Lagoas. O Hospital, que comemora 106 anos, é referência em atendimento médico-hospitalar na região Leste. É uma grande realização poder contribuir com essa trajetória de dedicação à vida”, destacou o senador Nelsinho Trad.
A cerimônia reuniu o prefeito Cassiano Maia, o diretor do hospital, Marco Calderon, além de representantes da área da saúde, que enfatizaram a importância dessa ampliação para a população de Três Lagoas e região.

O Hospital Auxiliadora agora tem ainda mais estrutura para cuidar de recém-nascidos que precisam de atenção especial.
A nova unidade neonatal (UCINCo/A) conta com equipamentos modernos para garantir um atendimento de qualidade e mais segurança para os bebês e suas famílias.
A Unidade Laura Vicuña também foi ampliada e passa a oferecer um espaço mais confortável para quem utiliza convênios ou atendimento particular. Já o Centro Cirúrgico ganhou cinco novas salas equipadas com tecnologia de ponta, ampliando a capacidade de realização de cirurgias com mais segurança e eficiência.

A inauguração também foi marcada por um momento especial de devoção e reflexão. Durante a cerimônia, a Irmã Maria Nilda relembrou a história da Beata Laura Vicuña, que dá nome à unidade ampliada, e mencionou o livro que narra seus milagres e inspirações.
“O Nelsinho é um agraciado dessa beata”, destacou a Irmã Nilda. “Ele foi me visitar em Campo Grande e, na conversa, mencionou que não havia nenhuma publicação sobre Laura Vicuña em língua portuguesa. A partir disso, nasceu a ideia de levar essa história a mais pessoas.”
O senador Nelsinho Trad, que compartilhou um testemunho pessoal na obra, reforçou a importância da fé como aliada na missão de cuidar da vida. “Laura Vicuña é um símbolo de fé e superação, assim como o Hospital Auxiliadora.
Essa instituição não cuida apenas da saúde física, mas também acolhe e fortalece espiritualmente quem mais precisa”, afirmou o senador.
